Moving Cincinnati Forward to 100% Renewable Energy by 2035

Project Details

Cincinnati had tried for years to implement a clean energy program, but cost and ability to implement held it back. In 2017, Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley joined the Mayors for 100% Clean Energy initiative, declaring Cincinnati will use 100% clean, renewable energy by 2035. The City of Cincinnati released a nation-wide, comprehensive RFP for clean energy bids the following year. After an extensive RFP process, Creekwood Energy was selected over 66 firms to be the City of Cincinnati’s Renewable Energy Partner.
